Inspired by the memorial brasses in St George’s Church Beckenham to Sir Humphrey Style and his wife Dame Margaret Damsell, I used A4 size woodblock printed with a mixture of silver and gold ink on a black background. I thought the medieval patterns intriguing. The other is a smaller single woodcut block (15.6×7.5cm) representation of the mythical moment of grasping freewill for our species.
