I have added 3 new prints to my gallery and featured them in the Latest page. The Droplets woodcut print was an attempt to capture the brightness of light reflected in raindrops on a Horned Poppy leaf with a degree of ambiguity to create a nearly abstract pattern. The two prints based on the memorial brass for the early 16th century Thomas and Dorothy Peckham from the Wrotham St George’s Church floor allowed me to experiment with the difference in wood cut and wood engraving and the use of gold ink as a bass in the wood cut and as the printing ink in the wood engraving. I really liked the economy of line in the original brass design and this is my homage to them. Click here to visit the Latest page for more details
